Jen never considered spending her time just “sitting behind a desk”.  She had always loved the thought of everyday being different and being able to make people feel good about themselves; this, coupled with her deep appreciation of classic style, made becoming a Cosmetologist a natural fit.  

Jen graduated in 1990 from the Gordon Phillips Beauty Academy, and became an Instructor for the L’Oreal Corporation, going into Salons teaching other Stylist, about L’Oreal color and Styling products.  She has been employed at Designs of Michael Christopher for the past fourteen years.  

As far as Jen’s favorite products, she says, “it would be like choosing your favorite from among your children …. I love them all.”

In an effort to further her education and hone her skills while keeping abreast of the most current trends and techniques, Jen has continually attended classes, those both offered In Salon by Designs of Michael Christopher and outside the salon such as:  Coppola Chemical Free Straightening, Deva Curl, Artec, Nancy Braun Highlighting Techniques, Jingles Academy for Advanced Cutting, and Advanced Color Classes with Jo Blackwell and Beth Minardi.  Jen has also attended conferences such as the 2007 and 2009 Chicago Hair Show, the 2007 Baltimore Show, the 2009 Orlando Premiere Show as well as several New York Hair Shows.  Jen also received advanced technique and color training while attending a conference in Paris, France.   Jen’s concentration is not only on hair though; she also has immersed herself in Skin Care, Make-Up Application and Hair Removal. 
In April 2015 She recieved her board certificate of color and September 2016 Continuted her education with Brazillian Blowout Treatments.


Born and raised in Allentown, Jen continues to live here along with her husband, two sons and family dog.   A lifelong appreciation for style and finding beauty in everything has led Jen to always look for ways to improve the appearance of things, thereby always redecorating her home.  In her leisure time, Jen loves to bake and is currently learning Cake Decorating as well as making an intrepid attempt at the fine art of knitting.
